Slow oxidative fibers are the least powerful fibers but are the most fatigue resistant.

These fibers are small in diameter and high capillary density. What color are slow oxidative fibers. These fibers have a rich capillary supply numerous mitochondria. They also have a higher oxidative capacity they consume more oxygen than type II fibers.
